A Little Moody, A Little Messy

Sometimes kids are a little moody. Sometimes their hair is a little messy. Still, it's who they are...and that's what we need to remember. Sure, kids look great when their shirts are pressed and their hair is brushed. But it's still important to capture them at those unposed, real, and honest moments. During a session I try to capture both the "posed" and the "real" moments. Sometimes when you least expect it, a certain emotion, feeling, mood surfaces. It is these brief glimpses into a child's world that I love to capture.

The Eyes are a Window to our Soul

If there is one thing I try to capture, it is the unique expression a child has. Often it surfaces for only a split second. A little glimpse of the child's soul is revealed. These are the moments, the expressions, the memories, that I hope my images capture. I want my images to stare back at the viewer and grab their heart. I want my images to reveal a little, or maybe a lot. I want my images of your child to leave you breathless.

Tiny Fingers, Tiny Toes

This little guy was such a joy to photograph. He had the biggest smile! After working hard for me, he decided to take a nap. I love this image of his toes with mom's wedding band! It is amazing how tiny a baby's hands, feet, fingers, and toes are. If there are any newborns in your family, I'd love to help preserve their special tiny parts!
